Devin Hoofman is a newcomer to TLC’s popular show. She is sharing with viewers her love story with Nick Ham. They met while living in Australia. However, when she was ready to return to America, he wasn’t willing to live in two different countries. So, they got engaged and applied for a fiance visa.

The 90 Day Fiance couple is waiting to get the approval of their visa. However, before they can wed, they must get permission from his parents. So, she is in his home country of South Korea to meet his parents in person for the first time.
However, Nick admits that Devin is the first white woman he has ever dated. So, getting his parents to approve of their marriage could be a challenge. They may not be happy when they find out their son will be moving to America to marry someone outside of their culture.
Fans Slam Nick for Devin’s Nickname
Nick has a unique nickname for Devin. When they first met in Australia, he felt she was a little chubby. So, he called her “Piggy.” However, he later found out that calling someone that name meant they were more than just a little chubby. Yet, the name stuck, and he continued to call her it.
The 90 Day Fiance cast member was told by his soon-to-be wife that calling someone “Piggy” is offensive in America. However, he didn’t care. He thought the nickname was cute. So, she now accepts it, and it doesn’t bother her.
However, many viewers don’t like Nick’s nickname for Devin. People feel that no one should have the nickname “Piggy.” Other fans think that he shouldn’t call her that, especially since she explained to him that it is not a term of endearment.
90 Day Fiance Celeb Responds to Negative Comments
Devin Hoofman has been getting a lot of negative comments about her appearance on the show. She finds them “semi-disappointing.” She got comments about her being “slow” or “delayed.” The TLC celeb explains that she has always been someone who “speaks very relaxed with a deeper voice.” She reveals that they filmed her interviews after she got off from her full-time job. So, she was also tired.
The 90 Day Fiance castmate also got comments about how different she looks now compared to on the show. She explains that the interviews were filmed at the end. At that time, she had put on a lot of weight from binge drinking and eating. She was trying to cope with the “anxiety of shooting the show.” However, she has lost around 30 pounds since filming.
Devin also got comments about having temporomandibular joint dysfunction. This causes pain and compromises the movement of the jaw joint. She reveals that she has had chronic jaw tension since she was a child. It is something that she seeks treatment for.
