Robyn had to intervene when Kody started discussing their past, redirecting the conversation with a coached statement, “Aren’t we just so happy for them? We’re just so happy for them, right? That’s what we want.”
In the midst of Kody’s attempt at settling his emotions, he humorously quipped, “Just because I’ve been angry for them for three years doesn’t mean I can’t be happy for them.” Despite his past anger, he acknowledged Christine’s pursuit of happiness, recounting her words to their children about finding her soulmate.

As the last woman standing with Kody, the mother-of-five admitted to experiencing unforeseen consequences. In a candid interview on a previous episode of “Sister Wives: One-on-One Special” with Sukanya Krishnan, Robyn shed light on the toll Kody’s emotional unrest had taken on their relationship.
Despite being perceived as having the patriarch wrapped around her thumb, Robyn revealed that her beau’s suspicion about women, stemming from the fear of his three ex-wives leaving, strained their connection.
The 45-year-old mentioned her efforts to “constantly get him to remember and realize that not all women are bad.” In an emotional recounting of a conversation with Kody, Robyn described feeling like he was metaphorically “lining up all the women” and shooting them down, a metaphor for his struggles with trust. In her words:
“I feel like you’re lining up all the women. I’m there with them, and you’re [imitates a machine gun], you know, shooting them all down. And that’s not fair because just because you’re having some issues with other women in your life or a woman or whatever, doesn’t mean that we’re all bad.”
