Two of Kate Gosselin’s kids are calling her out on her weird and toxic behavior toward them in a shocking docuseries.
Collin and Hannah Gosselin Have Beef With Kate
Two of the eight kids are sharing what it was like living with Kate once she divorced Jon, apparently, the single mom had a dark side, dark enough for her kids to be apart of the Vice documentary, Dark Side of the 2000s.
Specifically, Collin claims that his mom was so mean to him that he felt singled out at times. “I’m not gonna say I was a perfect child, but I’d say my misbehaving was no different from my siblings,” says the now 19-year-old.
He elaborated, “I know my mother was going through a lot of things. I mean, a divorce and plenty of different things that can’t be easy to go through.”
Kate Gosselin Needed To Take Her Anger Out On Someone
The kids elaborated on their mom’s behavior. “You know, I want to think that she needed someone to take out her anger and frustration on, and it was just kind of me. I was in the way, and I was there. So, she chose me.”
Hannah backed up her brother. “He would be separated from us like he would not get to come outside and play with us.” Collin even had a different schedule from his siblings likely to make up for his punishment time.
“He would eat dinner at different times than us. I don’t think the effort was made in the home to help him learn what behavior is acceptable, what behavior is not acceptable.”
Collin Gosselin Convinced He Was ‘Special Needs’
Hannah also recalled a time when they were told that Collin, who was 12 at the time was “special needs.” His mom sent him to a live-in learning facility to accommodate his supposed special needs.
It was then that Collin was removed from the facility and moved in with his dad, Jon. His sister, Hannah would follow soon after. Jon at the time was separated from his kids due to a horrible divorce from his ex-wife.
He shared some of the saddest moments he has experienced since the divorce including missing out on key moments in six of his 8 kid’s lives.
Jon Gosselin Was Left Out
The former reality star commiserated over those missed moments. “I had eight graduations this year, I only attended one,” he claims. “The only kids I see and talk to are Hannah [Gosselin] and Collin [Gosselin]. So I’ve been pretty much estranged from Mady [Gosselin] and Cara [Gosselin] for nine years.”
He revealed that these revelations really had him in a bad place. “At first it was very difficult, but now it’s, you know, you hope for the best, but you don’t dwell on it, you know what I mean?” he says.
He still has hope. “Maybe we’ll develop a relationship in the future, but yeah, I can’t put all my eggs in one basket like I used to and then be upset about it.”
