Hannah Villiger presents fragmented depictions of her body in a variety of states.

Having graduated from the Lucerne School of Applied Arts in 1974, Hannah Villiger (who died in 1997) began to make photography her favourite medium in the early 1980s. Armed first with a 35 mm and later a Polaroid camera, she used her enlarged photographs presented in dynamic ensembles to reveal the intrinsic qualities of a body rendered anonymous and shaped by its digital recording.
