Emanuela Esposito is a distinguished graphic designer renowned for her expertise in geometric patterns and floral textures.
After obtaining her degree in Graphic Design from the IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, she founded Contexture in 2017— a brand dedicated to creating unique, handcrafted products that are entirely Made in Italy.

Emanuela Esposito’s Creative Process and Inspirations
Emanuela’s creative journey often begins with a narrative, frequently autobiographical, which inspires her to design fantastical animals, surreal characters, and gracefully distorted geometries.
She is driven by “texturizing the ordinary”,finding inspiration in diverse sources such as the Codex Seraphinianus, Chinese landscapes like the Dragon’s Backbone, and whimsical circus scenes.
Historical figures like Emilie Flöge, a muse of artist Gustav Klimt and a pioneer of modern fashion in early 1900s Vienna, also influence her work.
Creations & Design Philosophy
One of Emanuela’s remarkable creations is the TYPO texture, which celebrates hand lettering by harmoniously arranging individual letters to resemble dancing dervishes on fabric.
She also reinterprets classic patterns such as tartan and pied de poule, the latter of which Maison Dior popularized.
Central to her philosophy is the belief that everything can be texturized, echoing architect Ernesto Nathan Rogers’ idea of designing “from the spoon to the city”. This approach allows her to apply her design methodology to both small objects and entire environments, making Contexture’s production truly unique.

To bring her creations to life, Emanuela collaborates exclusively with highly qualified Italian artisans, ensuring each product is crafted to perfection.
