Woonhuis is hosting the first presentation in the Netherlands of Dora Budor. ‘Classical Period’ is an exhibition by Budor with sculptures by Olga Balema, structures by R. D. Laing, and language by Eleanor Ivory Weber. Budor was invited by the current participants of De Ateliers, who collectively serve as the curatorial advisory committee of Woonhuis. She visited Amsterdam in early September, engaging in discussions with the participants, studio visits and a public Artist Talk.
‘Classical Period’ is designed as an exhibition featuring both existing works by the artists, as well as several newly created pieces for the exhibition.
Situated within the former caretaker’s quarters of De Ateliers, Woonhuis hosts a brand-new exhibition space. With its separate entrance and approximately 200m2 of project space, Woonhuis programmes exhibitions and events featuring international and local artists, all by invitation of
De Ateliers participants.
