Goin’ to the Chapel
A small 1875 church turned house in Howard Lake, Minnesota, recently became home to one of the area’s sweetest rentals. All on one level, in the former sanctuary, it includes two beds, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with “Dream Realized” tiled into the floor. All of the home’s furnishings, including an original church pew, were found by its owner, Sue Redmond. “I’m a big collector,” she says. “I like to go find treasures.” The church, which had been a private home for more than 15 years, opened to guests in March 2023 after Redmond made some upgrades. “People in town remember going to weddings and funerals here,” she says. “It’s nice to bring it back to the community.” Book through [email protected].
