Ye is about to have as many lawsuits as number one hits. He is being sued for his Donda Academy conditions. Here’s what’s wrong with it.
Donda Academy Not Up To Code
The Blast broke the exclusive details about West being sued by former teachers of the Christian academy who claim that the private Christian school is following “unlawful educational practices,” as well as breaking multiple health and safety violations.
Two teachers are suing him and in the court docs, they say that things were not up to code and West was kind of weirdo. Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers tell similar stories about their experience at the academy.
Those include multiple health and safety violations and several “unlawful educational practices.” The violations were brought to the attention of the director and principal of the school, Moira Love at least three times but nothing was done.
So Many Issues At Donda Academy
More information is being released and it seems as though West had some bizarre practices. The official complaint obtained by Radar Online says.
“In the middle of the main classroom, a skylight was left without glass inevitably allowing rain to fall directly inside, where water would soak into the floor, which would lead to a moldy smell for the next few days.”
Plus, “The skylight was intentional without glass because WEST expressed that he did not like glass.” The complaint comes from Isaiah Meadows who had an unfortunate experience at the academy.
Meadows also claims that Donda Academy had “serious wiring issues,” that led to electrical fire “near the student eating area where wire was laid atop the ground, exposed.”
Plumbing At Donda Academy Is A Mess
It’s not just the lighting unfortunately, the septic system was described as terrible. Apparently, a septic tank would “overflow every other day, causing a terrible smell.”
When Meadows, the former assistant principal called a meeting to raise concerns he “was suspended after calling for meetings and raising concerns regarding the operations of the school,” only to be reinstated two weeks later at a lower salary.
The academy (Ye) was no longer paying his rent this was not only a breach of the contract he signed with the academy and West but it also left Meadows in a horrible spot financially.
Did we mention he moved his entire young family to a new place to take this once-in-a-lifetime job?
Isiah Meadows Was Fired Anyway
All this drama for Meadows to end up without a job. When he returned to the position, he began to lodge complaint after complaint about inconsistent pay and health and safety violations against the academy before he was allegedly fired without cause in August 2022.
In his lawsuit against West and the academy, the former assistant principal’s attorney named other incidents similar to his clients from other former employees.
“The unlawful and retaliatory behavior by Mr. West and the school directors have now been documented multiple times by other former employees who never even worked together but all experienced the same horrendous treatment and witnessed the same serious health, safety, and education code violations, while all were subjected to the same fate – wrongful termination – and we plan to hold them accountable.”
