Vanilla Ice Is Bing Dragged To Court
The 90’s rapper was summoned to court by a former long-time girlfriend who wants him to take a DNA test and be ordered to pay child support for her 5-year-old daughter. The mom, Kirra Hentz, has asked the court to establish Vanilla Ice as the father of the little girl named Priscilla.
According to Radar Online, which has obtained the court docs, Kirra wants to set up a custody agreement and get support for the child. The publication noticed an exciting thing when she filed the paperwork; she used the home renovation specialist’s last name as her own.
Is Vanilla Ice Married?
The “Ice Ice Baby” rapper’s real name is Robert Van Winkle, and it looks like Kirra is also going by Van Winkle. The situation seems complicated. This doesn’t mean that the two are married, but typically, sharing a last name with someone who isn’t your blood family indicates marriage.
Kirra’s petition stated that they live in Florida but currently occupy separate homes. She also confirmed that they were not married in 2018 when the little girl was conceived.
The petition says, “The parties engaged in sexual relations resulting in the potential conception and gestation of the minor child …. [Vanilla Ice] may be the biological father of the minor child, and genetic testing should be ordered to confirm.”
Kirra Want’s Primary Custody
Kirra is willing to allow Van Winkle to see their daughter if she is his, but she wants primary custody of the child. The petition asks the courts to order Van Winkle to take the DNA test and pay Kirra’s legal fees.
The one-hit wonder settled his divorce from his wife of almost 20 years, Laura, back in 2019 before the pandemic. Laura was the one to file for divorce from Vanilla Ice. They share two children but were adults by the time the relationship ended.
Laura listed 2016 as their time of separation but admitted that she and the former rapper were separated for some time before that. Thankfully, Kirra did not overlap if the dates were correct.
Vanilla Ice’s Last Relationship Struggled
The entrepreneur was allegedly not the most incredible husband to ex-wife Laura. There were reports that he was physical with Laura. Specifically, he reportedly pushed her during an argument. After the incident, he was arrested for domestic violence, but the charges were later dropped.
Laura retracted her statement and continued life with Vanilla Ice and their two children. That was in 2008; she stuck around for another eight years before legally separating from him and eventually filing for divorce.
The former rapper has not spoken publicly about the issue; no stamen has been released. There is no question he and Kirra had a thing because he has shared multiple pictures of her and a little girl on Instagram.
