Sister Wives star Meri Brown became indignant once she learned that someone shared her personal story on the TLC series’ latest One-on-One episode. It was hers to share, and she made that very clear. But now fans see history repeating itself, with the first wife sliding back into her old ways.
Sister Wives: Is Meri Brown the Victim Here?
Meri Brown seemed to shift into a dark mode once she learned Christine Brown shared a personal story about her. Christine told the tale of Kody Brown melting down his original wedding band.
This was the one that Meri put on his finger over 30 years ago. It happened back before the Sister Wives series when there was just one husband and one wife.
Christine shared this during her time on the Sister Wives One-on-One camera when speaking with Sukanya Krishnan, the interviewer. Fans were appalled by Kody’s nasty move. But this is nothing new these days, as fans have seen several selfish deeds surface from the father of 18 this season.
At the time he melted down her ring, he told Meri that he kept the gold, as well as the diamonds that were in the ring. He said his reason for doing this was so Meri could no longer have control over him.
But Meri and Christine both said he did this around the time Robyn came into the Sister Wives family. So, it seems this story comes with two sides.
Meri Does It Again
Meri gathered some empathy over this from the fans, although not a lot. The viewers’ disgust was aimed at her shared husband for destroying the ring.
Plus, some Sister Wives viewers blamed Christine, who told a story that wasn’t hers to tell. Still, it seems much of the hoopla online came from the many fans who were disgusted over Meri Brown’s reaction.
When she learned that Christine told this story on Sister Wives One-on-One, she seemed to slip into a dark place. Even her voice sounded sinister as she lambasted Christine for sharing this story with the public.

This is where Meri Brown seemed to blow it with some Sister Wives fans. Many people hopped online to comment that Meri is repeating history.
Instead of putting the blame where it belonged for this deed, fans think she took it out on Christine. It’s not as if Christine wanted to tell a secret of Meri Brown’s, the story came out naturally when talking about the rings Kody wore in the past.
Sister Wives Fans Found This Just Awful
Fans of the show went down a few paths when Christine outed Meri’s ring meltdown story. Sure, they thought the third wife of the Sister Wives clan had no business telling a story that was not hers to tell. They also became furious over the gall of Kody Brown for doing such a thing to Meri Brown.
But then fans had a couple of takes on Meri’s part in this ring meltdown story. Again viewers became peeved that she took her anger out on Christine instead of Kody, who did the deed. But others were mortified to think this happened more than a decade ago, and she stayed with him anyway.
So, while it looked like Meri was the victim of Christine Brown’s overflow of information, it didn’t take long for the finger of blame to point back at Meri Brown. Fans see her bypassing Kody and placing the blame on the messenger of this story in the last One-on-One of the TLC series.
