Love During Lockup couple Melissa Picariello and Louie Fojut‘s plans may hit a snag. They thought after his release from prison, they would be free to start their lives together. However, they are finding that may be more of a challenge than they thought. There are a couple of things that stand in their way.
Love After Lockup: Melissa Picariello Gushes over First Night with Louie Fojut
Melissa Picariello of Love After Lockup dreamed of the day she could finally be with her high school crush. Now that the day has arrived, it is not going quite as she hoped. But her teenage fantasy is quickly becoming a harsh reality. She knew that going in, they would need to make a few adjustments at first. But she never expected his mom, Donna Fojut, to be such an obstacle.
The lovebirds are eager for some alone time together. But his mom refuses to let them share a bedroom while they are under her roof. Donna is tough and set in her ways. She made it clear that she disapproves of their relationship. So, they decide to sneak out of the house after his mom is asleep and go to a hotel for a night alone.
But things do not go quite as well as Melissa hoped. They were both nervous, and she received an unexpected monthly visitor. But they made the best of the situation and joked that it was like Melissa’s first time.
She described their encounter as re-enacting losing her virginity to Louie in high school. She said she always wanted to lose her virginity to him in high school, as did everyone else. So, she lives out her fantasy and considers this her second chance.
High School Louie No Longer Exists
Melissa Picariello places a lot of hope in having a future with Louie Fojut. But she soon discovers that the high school version may no longer exist. He is no longer the teenage heartthrob he once was. He’s been through a lot.
Ten years in prison and raging drug addiction takes its toll on a man. But she is blinded by her fantasy. She wants to live out the teenage experience that she missed out on then. Many WEtv viewers think she is delusional. They say that the fact that the Love After Lockup cast member refers to a 41-year-old man as “high school Louie” and continues to live in the past is ridiculous.

Viewers think that deep down, he loves that she worships him. But they also believe she will face a rude awakening once she realizes the cool teenage boy she adored in high school no longer exists.
Louie Fojut has a lot of problems and real-life issues to contend with. He is a recovering drug addict and fears relapsing now that he is free. He is also on parole, and his criminal past will not make it easy for him to seek gainful employment. Life on the outside will be a real struggle for him at first.
Love After Lockup: Melissa Faces the Facts
Melissa is surprised when she takes Louie to check in with his parole officer the following day. While waiting in the truck for her Love After Lockup partner’s meeting to end, his mom shows up. Donna is standing outside the truck wearing a moo-moo and slippers and carrying a wooden spoon. Melissa is startled when his mom taps on the window with the spoon. She sees Donna is furious, and she begins to make a scene.
She yells at her son’s girlfriend, calling her disrespectful. Melissa is embarrassed and asks her to get in the truck. Donna is livid and demands to know what is going on with her son. Melissa tells her they have plans for him to move to New Jersey as soon as he can get permission.
She knows this is not going to go over well with his mom. So, she asks her what she plans to do once he can relocate. She fears that she already knows the answer, and Donna will want to move to New Jersey, too.
The Love After Lockup star Melissa Picariello needs to face the facts. She knows that Louie Fojut’s mom will remain a constant interference. As for Louie relocating to New Jersey, this will not happen, especially if Donna has any say in the matter. So, it looks like she is in for quite the fight.
