General Hospital baddie Cyrus Renault is back on the canvas, and his return could mean he is plotting something devious. And he might be the mastermind behind the recent attacks on the ABC soap opera.
General Hospital: Cyrus Renault Back in Action
Currently, on GH, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is on the scene again. Now that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in Pentonville, Cyrus wants to recruit him and get him to join his “religious” group.
Recently, Cyrus gifted drew a bible. However, it was empty with a shank inside. So that might signal danger ahead for Drew, and the weapon could come in handy.
No doubt, Cyrus has an agenda on General Hospital. And it still remains to be seen if he is genuinely reformed or running a long con. He has a reason for wanting Drew on his side and for claiming to be reformed. And most likely, it all ties to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Cyrus vs. Sonny on GH
General Hospital viewers know Cyrus was ruthless and evil. He was determined to neutralize Sonny and take over his territory so he could traffic drugs. He wanted to be the top dog and rule Port Charles.
So, it seems hard to believe he would give up on taking Sonny down and claiming his territory. Recently, Sonny and his right-hand man Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), were ambushed at their warehouse.
Then, someone opened fire at the Metro Court pool from one of the suites above. Both attacks appear to be military, and the shooter is untraceable. Now, if anyone is capable of ordering hits from prison, it’s Cyrus. Remember, when he first came onto GH, he was locked up in Pentonville.
And he was running his crime organization from the inside on General Hospital. He still has many people in his corner that are willing to do his bidding. And he may still be on a mission to take Sonny out.
Mega-Villian Plotting Diabolical Takeover?
Chances are, Cyrus is not a new man, and he’s as dangerous as ever. Several hints dropped lately that he’s up to his old tricks. At one point, it appeared he was working with lady mobster from back in the day, Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier).
Also, he wanted revenge on his half-sister, Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), for rejecting him. So, it’s highly unlikely that the villain is just giving up on his plans for power and revenge. And Cyrus’ return just before the MC shooting is likely not a coincidence.
His General Hospital comeback might mean he’s closer to destroying Sonny. If so, Port Chuck is in grave danger. GH is captivating these days. Don’t miss a moment to see if Cyrus Renault’s still scheming against Sonny on the ABC sudser.
