90 Day Fiance: Rob and Sophie No Love in the Elevator – Recap – [S10E02]

On 90 Day Fiance, Rob Warne woos Sophie Sierra with his corny choreography. But blows it when he jams the elevator and they get stuck at the airport. Nikki Sanders prepares to travel to Moldova to face Justin/Igor’s family and friends. Ashley Michelle cries a river when Manuel arrives, and again when he disses her dog. Jasmine Pineda finds fault with her new home in Michigan with Gino Palazzolo. Let’s break it all down in this recap of Season 10, Episode 2 We Are Gathered Here Together.

90 Day Fiance: Rob Dances His Way to a Yes

On 90 Day Fiance, Rob Warne prepares for Sophie’s arrival at LAX. He’s got some plans that include a special dance and a proposal at baggage claim. Sophie hasn’t had an easy travel experience. She is exhausted.

Rob Warne is determined and makes her stop short of him when they first see each other. He performs a sad dance that is more fitting for a middle school talent show. But Sophie appreciates it even though she said if anybody else did it she’d say eww.

Rob Warne doesn’t stop there and gets down on one knee in baggage claim to propose with a ring. Sophie’s jet lag is getting worse and she can’t seem to comprehend what’s even happening. But blurts out a yes when he prompts her.

In the parking garage Rob eagerly pounds buttons in the elevator. The elevator won’t move.  She blames Rob and he gets defensive. A great start to the rest of their lives. After calling for help they finally make it out.

The new 90 Day Fiance couple make their way through Rob’s neighborhood and Sophie Sierra is a little freaked out by the police activity. Rob Warne plays it off as not too bad. At the apartment he shows her the space he made for her things. She’s hoping living there can be a temporary thing. Rob has dinner set up for her outside in the courtyard. Sophie is fading fast but manages to choke down a churro after he insists.

90 Day Fiance: Nikki Sanders Worries If She’ll Be Accepted

On 90 Day Fiance, Nikki Sanders heads to Moldova for a second chance with Justin/Igor. Her mom shows up to help her pack. Nikki and her mom are close but that wasn’t always the case. Her mom struggled to accept her transition and wasn’t there for her in the beginning. Nikki’s mom regrets her actions. But still worries for her safety. Especially in another country where there isn’t the level of awareness and acceptance like there is in America.

Justin also fears for Nikki’s safety since she dresses flamboyantly. He confides in a friend who is understanding once Justin explains his feelings. The friend shows some old men in the park pictures of Nikki Sanders. They consider her a bombshell. But he admits if they knew she was formerly a man it could change their opinion. But the biggest test is yet to come when she meets his parents for the second time now that they know she is transgender.

Ashley Michelle Stands up for Her Ride or Die

Ashley Michelle has survived her panic attack and is waiting for Manuel at the airport on 90 Day Fiance. Her sister is along for moral support. Ashley lost communication and isn’t sure he made the flight. But he appears through the glass doors and she starts sobbing. The pair hug and kiss and Ashley can’t stop crying. On the drive to the house, Manuel is impressed by the greenery. And excited to finally be in Rochester.

Things don’t go so well once he’s in the house. He meets her dog and cat. And while he interacts with pup Rico Suave, he admits he has no use for her cat Lyra. He tells Rico Suave he won’t be sleeping in Ashley’s bed anymore.

And she just straight up tells him that Rico has been with her for ten years and he will do as he pleases since he is a God. Manuel is a little unnerved by the witchcraft stuff. Ashley Michelle takes a smoke break and says he needs to get over it because she’s a mother effing witch ho.

90 Day Fiance: Jasmine Settles into the Michigan Ruins

On 90 Day Fiance, Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo are the equivalent of a nagging cough. Just when you can breathe freely, it comes back to make you uncomfortable. Jasmine is wrapping up her life in Panama.

But only after playing one last juvenile game by blocking Gino on a texting app. Gino meanders around with an ugly bouquet of convenience store flowers, mumbling about quitting his job and wondering if he flushed the toilet. He didn’t.

Jasmine Pineda fears she will die from hypothermia. And claims the town of Canton “screams depression”. She finds Gino’s house to be musty and outdated. Like “ruins”. Ms. Panama wants a new bed frame, mattress and bedspread.

Especially since Gino Palazzolo admits the many stains are his lotion. She finds the floater in the toilet. And shames him for drinking chocolate milk because it’s responsible for his gas. Coco the dog takes a page from his mom’s playbook, raises a leg and just starts peeing.
