Armando Rubio welcomed viewers into his relationship with Kenny Niedermeier on The Other Way. The two faced many obstacles to be together. They weren’t living in the same country. So, Kenny left his life, kids, and grandkids in America to move to another country.

The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way cast member planned to marry Kenny. But he didn’t know how to tell his family that he was going to marry a man. They weren’t too accepting of the fact that he was in love with a man since he was married to a woman before.
However, Armando came out to his parents and told them he would be marrying Kenny. To his surprise, they were more accepting than he thought they would be. His mother and father even showed up at the wedding. But, coming clean to his parents wasn’t easy for him to do.
Armando Has Tough Time Coming Out to Parents
Armando shared a lot of personal moments on the show. However, one moment for him was the hardest to film. He explains that it was when he had to come out to his parents for the second time. He feels that the first time was “hard enough.” So, having to do it again was “terrifying.” And having cameras around didn’t help the situation.
The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way castmate knows he has been through many tough times throughout the seasons. He thinks telling his parents he is in a relationship with a man was his “top one.”

Armando Rubio found it hard to share his life with viewers in the first season. It was hard for him to read negative comments online. However, he eventually got used to it. He was able to look past what people were saying about him and Kenny Niedermeier.
The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way cast member started realizing who matters in his life. And felt that it didn’t matter what strangers thought about him. He was then able to “brush off the negativity.”
Now, Armando and Kenny enjoy being on the show. They feel that they can have fun doing it. And are happy to get the chance to share their love story with fans.
Armando considers the show a “time capsule” that he and Kenny can look back at. They have memories on camera that their kids and grandkids can watch. He also feels it’s an experience that very few people get to have.
The TLC celeb also likes that he and his husband are “so loved around the world.” He also admits that people constantly recognize them while they are out in public.
