It’s not a commonly used technique for street snaps, but it does make for some interesting and dynamic images. In the POV video above, we have Matti Sulanto from Finland taking us on a photo walk with a Sony a7 IV paired with Sony 40mm f/2.5 lens. He demonstrates how we can use slow shutter to add some visual interest and dynamic look to his compositions. It’s a good peek into a street photographer’s creative process while intentionally incorporating this technique. Likewise, it gives us some idea about the possibilities that it opens to street photographers, whether beginners or intermediate.
