Another week, another photography challenge! Here’s one that you can tackle in the next few days. For the 37th week of their 52-week Photo Challenge, the folks of SlickPic want us to keep an eye out for interesting composition made possible with the use of Hallways and Stairways. If you’re ready, it’s time to refill your creative juices and put your photography skills to the test.
In this challenge, the task is to incorporate the unique lines and framing provided by hallways or staircases. Use these architectural elements to create dynamic compositions out of the shapes, perspectives, and leading lines they provide. You can also experiment with different angles and lighting to add extra depth and dimension to your final images.
To help inspire you with some tips and ideas, we suggest checking out these galleries and articles by Art.com and photographymad. Lauri Novak also shared her own creative process for photographing the spiral staircase at Milawaukee Symphony Orchestra. In case you’re just joining, we also encourage you to check out the full info on the 52-week Challenge.
