Review: Manfrotto BeFree GT Pro 3-Way Aluminum Tripod

Review: Manfrotto BeFree GT Pro 3-Way Aluminum Tripod

When you try to wrap too many features into a product it often doesn’t do well for any of its intended uses. Not so with the Manfrotto BeFree GT Pro 3-Way Aluminum Tripod. It works well for both studio photography and videography. If you don’t mind a little extra weight it works well for hiking and trails as well, as it packs small for travel. I’d like to have a little less weight and Manfrotto makes this in a carbon fiber model but I don’t believe the extra $100 is worth the 0.6 pound weight saving. At $329.95 I feel this is a great value for the video + stills image creator, especially if he or she wants to invest in only one tripod.
