Lizzo was high up in the running to be the next Super Bowl halftime performer but that is being snatched away now.
Lizzo Is Not The Vibe
Currently, Lizzo is not the look! She is not the person that everyone is running toward to book shows anymore. In fact, she is being dropped from some shows, other shows were canceled unexpectedly, and now, the NFL doesn’t want her anymore either.
DailyMail is alleging Lizzo has been dropped from Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show consideration. The drama with her dancers accusing her of sexual harassment and fat-shaming is giving Lizzo a bad rep right now. Until it’s cleared up, she will risk losing more and more opportunities.
An insider for the NFL tells the publication, “Talks of Lizzo being a part of the Halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal.” And let’s be real, the NFL can’t take another scandal.
Lizzo Is Too ‘Difficult’
The insider claims that all the speculation and unrest around the “Truth Hurts” singer is casting a negative shadow. Lizzo’s team is “desperately trying to come up with a strategy to save her sinking ship.,” alleges the insider.
But, unfortunately, “It is becoming more and more difficult with more people coming forth accusing her of extremely inappropriate acts.” The sports business is also fearful to move forward because when the singer has attempted to speak out via her team and lawyers, she is shot down.
“If she speaks out, her statements are shredded. If she stays quiet, she is called a coward. Either way, it does not appear at this moment that she can recover from this.”
Lizzo Has More Accusers
The singer was only dealing with three backup dancers at first but in the last week, more accusers have come forward. Ron Zambrano the lawyer for the three original accusers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, has shared there are six other accusers who have contacted him.
The new accusers worked on tour with Lizzo either as backup dancers or on her Amazon Studios show. The complaints are centered around an alleged “sexually charged environment” on Lizzo’s tour, and failure to pay employees.
The news is still shocking to fans who love Lizzo for being the body-positive activist she is but many have also expressed that they can totally see her doing something like this.
The Accusers Were On TV
The original three women, Davis, Williams, and Rodriguez appeared on Good Morning America last week to open up about Lizzo’s antics and set the record straight for those who still didn’t believe.
They described her as “fat-phobic” and shared a few stories that made her sound like a genuine bully.
“I know it’s alarming to hear that Lizzo, a plus-size woman who preaches body positivity, would be fat-phobic, essentially. But I want to challenge people to understand that hurt people hurt people,” claimed the woman.
Rodriguez specifically recalled a moment when Lizzo was physically threatening toward her after she expressed that she wanted to quit. “She basically started to ball up her fists and crack her knuckles, and she was like ‘You’re so effin lucky right now’ as she’s like inching her way towards me.”
The women all expressed that they constantly felt like their jobs were on the line. “Our jobs are always being threatened. I personally never had job security in this whole – this whole entire time,” Davis recalls.
While Lizzo continues to deny the allegations, more accusations pour in. It’s like she can’t deny them fast enough.
