Liam Payne shared a shocking piece of information on YouTube today, he’s been in rehab for the last 100 days to “get well”.

The former one direction band member has been absent on his socials in the last few months and while this isn’t that big of a deal for him, it’s not like he was posting like crazy, but it is different from what his fans are used to.
Payne shared in a low-key video “Sorry for [being] MIA. You guys know there’s a few reasons why I did that and I just needed to take a little bit of time out for myself,” he says. “I kind of became somebody who I didn’t recognize and I’m sure you didn’t either,” revealed the 29-year-old.
He revealed that he went away to rehab to get well and is now “back” and starting anew.
Liam Payne Needed A Little Help
The former boy Bander revealed that he checked into a “wonderful place in Louisiana” where he went to “get [his] head straight.” He also revealed that he discovered some new talents like drawing, along with writing music and poetry.
Payne, who looked happy and bright at the moment shared that he was “in bad shape up to that point.” He elaborated. “I was really happy more than anything when I arrived to kind of put a stopper on life and work. I didn’t have my phone for nearly 100 days.”
“I didn’t connect to the outside world at all and it was kind of prepping me for that moment,” he revealed. “Upon leaving was actually the hardest point was turning the phone back on … because it was a little bit scary.”
Liam Payne Knows His Money Helps
While the artist took the moment to humble brag about the facility and his time away, he says he is “very lucky.” He also revealed that while it was nice for 100 days, he says it was “a nice world to come back out to.”
He continued. “Thanks to you guys at home and thanks to this wonderful life that I have.” He took the moment should out his ex-partner Cheryl Cole and their con Bear for the repeated support.
“There’s no point in trying to be a dad when you’ve got nothing to teach,” he said. “I don’t think up until this point I had much to say to him other than just loving him very deeply.” Because of these moments break, he has “more of a grip” and “more of a handle” on things that were getting away from him before.
Liam Payne In A Good Position
While he still has some things to deal with the singer is happy to be on a better path. “After I got back out, the process had worked for me to a certain extent, but also there were little bits left that I kind of had to deal with myself.”
He is now six months sober and back to work with a show in Dubai. “It’s good to be in this position. I definitely don’t need those things anymore. Party’s over.”
