Lamar Odom still has hope that Bam Margera can complete rehab and get clean. He may have a trick up his sleeve to lure him back to the help he needs.
Lamar Odom’s A Guardian Angel
The former professional basketball player is on a mission to get Margera back to rehab after he decided to bolt during the detox process. Odom believes that since hightailing it out of detox, Margera has been keeping company with the wrong crowd.
He was spotted by TMZ and asked what his thoughts on Margera are “Who you surround yourself with is critical. We are the company we keep.” Margera was initially staying with Odom when he first left the detox center,
However, soon after the former professional skater took off from the home and Odom is under the impression that this is not the best move. Odom is now taking the steps to bring out the big guns to essentially push the reality star back into the help he needs.
Dangling The Phoenix Carrot In Front Of Bam Margera
Margera has been pining for his son Phoenix, he has publicly begged his estranged ex to let him see his son or he will smoke crack until he dies. A serious and very possible threat. This is also the threat that prompted Odom to reach out to help, again!
Since his own battle with substance abuse, the athlete has dedicated his time to helping others to get clean. Odom has three rehab facilities and offered Margera a stay at one, he wants to help him battle his demons.
But now, it looks like Margera needed a little break from those withdrawal symptoms. Currently, Odom and his team at Odom Recovery Group are hard at work tracking down Margera.
Lamar Odom Took Bam Margera Under His Wing
The two met when Odom showed up at the hospital to seek out Margera after he was placed on a 5150 hold. He invited him to come and get help at one of his rehab centers. At the time, Margera was receptive.
He was motivated to get clean to see his son. Ahead of the visit, the skater was picked up at Trejo’s Tacos in L.A. The local authorities were called because he was acting erratic and his speech was chaotic.
His behavior was enough for the police to take him in and place him on the 5150 hold. Odom has offered Margera help in the recent past as well.
Bam Margera Attacked His Brother
It was reported that back in April, Margera and his brother got into an altercation and Margera was forced to turn himself in to the police. At the time, Odom left an open message with TMZ to have Margera seek him out if he wants the help.
He insisted that his treatment centers can be a big help for him. Margera actually said yes! But then did not follow through and show up to actually start the treatment. It looks like Margera has ditched treatment again.
Hopefully, Odom and his team are able to lure him back to continue his detox and sobriety journey.
