Kody Brown Donates a Lot of Money to Donald Trump

Kody Brown seemingly wants to make America great again.

Even at the apparent expense of his own immediate family.

Over the past couple years, you see, we’ve documented the various ways in which it seems the Sister Wives patriarch is struggling with his finances.

That’s what happens when plop down a ton of money on a large parcel of land in 2018 (Coyote Pass) and then never build anything at all on it.

This is why Kody has been forced to take out emergency loans on occasion.

We mean, the guy doesn’t have any job outside of his role on Sister Wives — and, up until somewhat recently, he had four spouses to support.

Earlier this month, however, we learned that Kody made a whopping 40 contributions — from July 2, 2020, to August 23, 2023 — for a total of $6,473.01 to the Republican party.

Kody donated $250 to former President Donald J. Trump on December 18, 2020… and $250 to the Trump Make America Great Again Committee on December 13, 2020.

Perhaps proving that he’s no longer on Team MAGA, Brown also sent $520.51 to Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy on August 23, 2023.

Now, look. We’re not here to comment on Kody’s political affiliations.

We’re not surprised that he’s been a Trump supporter and this article is not meant to judge him for being so.

The amount he’s donated, though, could have done to… his sister wives? His kids? To paying off his debts?

The donations came after Janelle Brown broke down in tears on an episode of Sister Wives this season, as she revealed she would be leaving the marriage with no money if they broke up.

“We moved to Flagstaff and we bought this property,” Janelle said on air, adding at the time of the aforementioned Coyote Pass:

“We had a vision we would all build on it. The way that we were able to buy it is we paid mostly cash for it.

“We had to take a private mortgage on a portion of it.

“We just didn’t have the cash for it. If we do not pay it off, we are in jeopardy of losing the land, just like any other mortgage. Kody sticks his hand in the sand.”

WTH is going on? That seems to be what Kody Brown is thinking in this scene. (TLC)

And we now know he sticks his hand out to a number of political causes and candidates… despite all that’s going on at home.

It’s also worth noting that Kody shut down Kody Brown Family Entertainment, LLC — which lists Kody, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine and Robyn Brown as business managers — on October 8, 2023.

He didn’t speak on the reason why, and we’re not even sure what the company has been doing over the last few years.

In the end, it’s just another example of how poorly Kody has managed his money.
