Iggy Azalea may be regretting her choice to write that letter of support for Tory Lanez. It’s public now, and The Twitterverse is telling her how stupid she is.
Iggy Azalea’s LOS Released
The rapper’s letter is making rounds thanks to Meghan Cuniff who has been meticulously covering the Tory Lanez sentencing trial. Now she managed to get her capable hands on this highly talked about support letter from Iggy.
Full disclosure, the letter is a mess. The “Fancy” rapper is getting hit from all corners with everything from poor and spelling mistakes, to “lies” that just didn’t fit the mold of who Tory Lanez has proven himself to be.
She vouches for him being an upstanding pillar of the community who she has never seen lose his temper. She even threw in some content about herself like being “well respected” in her the music industry, and fans aren’t buying it.
Followers were so fed up with the “lies” they have taken to blasting her on Twitter and even taking it one step further by highlighting the quotes that bothered them the most. We rifled through them so you don’t have to.
Iggy Azalea Is An ‘Evil Woman’
In one section of the letter Iggy insists that she would never support someone who was an “abuser” but here she is supporting Tory who has put his hands on more than just Megan Thee Stallion.
“I would not write to you on behalf of an abuser,” Iggy wrote in the letter, so of course she was slammed for that one. “Read that whole letter and iggy azalea is one evil woman doing all of that and for what? then coming on here to lie about it???? nah thunder fire you fr.” another person commented.
One follower called out Iggy for this statement:
“He creates space for others to be great. I deeply appreciate the person he is and have never witnessed him loose his temper or raise his voice at a woman. He’s always been incredibly respectful of me and I refuse to believe that he would do anything in malice, especially to a woman.”
All they could muster up to say about this one was “Iggy azalea is so …..”
Iggy Azalea Is So Unprofessional
The culture vulture couldn’t even keep it professional for the letter. She opened the letter by using her stage name “My name is Iggy Azalea.” Okay, Amethyst Amelia Kelly. From that first line, we over here at The Blast knew this one was going to be a doozy.
One quote reads, “Daystar Peterson is not the pest you’ve heard about, he’s a gardener. He helps others bloom.” This really made a lot of people comment and laugh at Iggy. They felt she was being too passionate and going too hard for Mr. Daystar Peterson.
“Lord, if ya listenin… HELP!” begged one comment. Another says, “All this poetry for HIM???!” A great question…
Iggy went out of her way to support Tory to the point where she hired some of his former employees. “Iggy azalea’s letter of support for Tory Lanez revealed, says she hired 6 of his staff members so they could transition back into running his business after his sentence.”
Can you see why the letter was three pages long? It seems like Iggy is doing entirely way too much on behalf of the person people are referring to as a “troll”.
Iggy Azalea Is ‘Cringe’
Unfortunately for Iggy, this isn’t a good look for he, and people, some being “former fan(s)”, have expressed that they are done with her. Not even because of the support, but her lack of proofreading before handing in a professional letter to a judge.
“It’s so cringe that Iggy Azalea sent that letter on behalf of “Daystar” AND didn’t proofread it,” one follower joked. ‘My name is Iggy Azalea” Imaoooo why is that such a funny statement,” joked another.
One of the reoccurring themes of many of the tweets was that Tory is in fact a violent person. “Iggy Azalea: I’ve never seen Tory Lanez lose his temper or raise his voice. Prince Harty, Travis Scott, August Alsina, and that little boy he chased down the sidewalk and beat up (ON VIDEO).”
This might be one of those rare occurrences where most of the internet is in agreeance.
“The way the Twitter morning shift done drug Iggy Azalea…whew chile! I read her Cat in the Hat ass statement 63 3 6. She should have kept that in the drafts. Shoutout to Meghann Cuniff! She gave all the coverage. She has all the letters…this is far from over..”
