Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are embracing the next chapter of their relationship now that they are under one roof.

While Robach, 51, moved into Holmes’ residence so her 21-year-old daughter, Ava, could temporarily live in her place, the couple are enjoying their new setup.

“Amy and T.J. are focused on creating a healthy living situation together,” a source exclusively shares in the latest issue of Us Weekly.

After Robach and Holmes, 47, exited GMA3: What You Need to Know in 2023 following news of their affair, the insider says the pair are “excited to finally be able to take their romance to the next level without any guilt or shame.”

While the source notes that the “next step” for Robach and Holmes would be tying the knot, the twosome are not in a hurry to say “I do.” Robach, the insider says, “feels the way it will last is if they put healthy boundaries and communication in place.”

“Amy would like to work on their communication skills,” the source continues. “She believes it’s the secret to a healthy and lasting relationship.”

Robach and Holmes recently opened up about their plans to exchange vows. While the duo have not gotten engaged, Robach explained during the Monday, December 9, episode of their “Amy and T.J.” podcast that she wants to have their wedding in the fall. Holmes, for his part, noted that he could see him and Robach as husband and wife “sooner rather than later.”

“I say that based on my exclusive conversations with the bride,” he quipped. “I say that because we are not trying to figure things out. We are not trying to see if we want to be together. We’re not trying to do a trial run to see if this thing can work. That’s not where we are.”

Holmes shared that the “decision has been made” about him and Robach growing old together.

“When we are getting married, that’s going to be a byproduct of what’s happening. And it’s coming,” he explained before Robach added, “We’ve talked about marriage. We haven’t talked about a wedding. And there is a difference between the two.”

Robach and Holmes sparked romance speculation when they were spotted in November 2022 cozying up to each other out of the office. At the time, Robach was married to Andrew Shue and Holmes was married to Marilee Fiebig. Robach and Shue share daughters Ava and Annalise, 18, while Holmes and Fiebig are parents to daughter Sabine, 11. (Holmes also shares daughter Brianna and son Jaiden with ex-wife Amy Ferson.)

Both Robach and Holmes filed for divorce after their relationship was unveiled and have since claimed that their respective marriages were over before they pursued things turned romantic. Shue and Fiebig, meanwhile, began dating in late 2023 and made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Grassroots Soccer World AIDS Day Gala earlier this month.
