At a recent press event to promote the new album and upcoming memoir, Parton spoke briefly on Madonna’s current health crisis. The singer was recently rushed to the hospital because of a bacterial infection “after she was found unresponsive” in her home last week.

Parton said that touring has “always been taxing,” especially for aging musicians like her and Madonna. This also extends to preparing for albums and their release, as it’s a lot of work. Because of her health issues and recovery, Madonna might now postpone her upcoming Celebration Tour, which was meant to begin in a few months and span multiple countries.

According to reports, Madonna has been rehearsing for the tour since April this year and has been on a strict diet. The “Like A Prayer” singer worked six days per week despite her advanced age, contributing to her health breakdown.
