When Lucy decided to shoot her shot with the rapper and ask him in a TikTok video to be her date to her friend’s wedding, everyone started rooting for a happy ending. With tons of tags in the comment section of the video, he saw it, and stitched it by just saying “The answer is yes.” But did he actually follow through and show up to be Lucy’s date?
TikTok Creator Lucy Shared An Update On Her Wedding Date Proposal To Rapper Yung Gravy
For anyone’s who’s been following along, this story started off slow but then picked up speed and then fell off sadly. Everyone was rooting for Lucy getting the wedding date that she wanted and for a while, it looked like there was a happy ending in sight. With the wedding scheduled for Saturday, July 22, viewers wanted some updates leading up to the weekend, and Lucy shared one that no one was quite ready for.
“The moment y’all have been waiting for. And the update is…he’s not coming,” she said in her video. “That’s right, you heard me. He will not be attending the wedding with me tomorrow. He will be in California.”
Since the wedding is “nowhere close to California,” he’s unable to attend as everyone had hoped. She continued her video to explain the details leading up to this time.
“He did message me on Instagram, as you guys saw. Hopefully we will get to meet up sooner than later, especially if he’s in the Pensacola area,” she continued. “I’m a little sad just because I was so excited about it, but honestly, this whole experience has just been absolutely mind blowing. No way in a million years did I think he was ever even going to respond to my video, and I have you guys to thank for that for doing all the tagging and sharing that you did.”
Lucy said the entire thing “blew up in a very positive way” and she’s still not quite sure how to handle it all. She also wanted to clear something up about her first video, because there was some confusion there and the math wasn’t quite mathing.

“This is like really embarrassing actually. So right before I made the video, the original video that I did, I went to my girl Siri and asked her how old he was,” she explained. “Now, I don’t know what she was smoking that day, because normally her and I have a pretty good relationship.”
She continued to say that Siri told her Yung Gravy was 20-years-old, but he’s actually 27.
“So with that being said, I have a confession,” she said. “I am not 14 years older than him. I’m only 7.”
She said that she already talked about this funny confusion with the rapper and they had a good laugh about it.
