Despite online speculation, The Challenge star Zach Nichols and his pregnant wife Jenna Compono are not breaking up.
“Jenna and Zach are excited about welcoming their 4th baby this year,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, February 21, “and are very much still together.”
Fans began to speculate about the pair’s relationship status earlier this week when Nichols, 37, and Compono, 32, appeared to unfollow each other on Instagram.
In addition, Compono raised eyebrows when she posted a message via Facebook detailing “4 common signs of a narcissist” including entitlement, manipulative behavior, needing admiration and lack of empathy.
While some fans jumped to conclusions, others were more hopeful that things were good. Followers noticed that Nichols still had his wife’s handle listed in his Instagram bio next to a ring emoji.
Just one month ago, the couple announced they were expecting their fourth baby in the summer.
“Because 3 kids wasn’t chaotic enough 🤣,” Compono wrote via Instagram on January 25. “Baby #4 coming August 2025 👶🏻♥️.”

At the end of the month, the couple also found out they were expecting a baby girl during a sex-reveal party where a balloon popped with pink confetti. Nichols and Compono are already parents to Anthony Joseph, 3, Liliana Marie, 2 and 11-month-old Carmella Jean.
Ever since announcing her pregnancy, Compono has kept fans updated on her journey. During a recent doctor’s appointment, the influencer experienced a minor “scare” that turned out to be nothing serious.
“Had a little scare today, had a checkup and they couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat with the Doppler,” Compono wrote via Facebook on Wednesday, February 19, with new sonogram pictures. “The doctor did a quick full sonogram and everything is fine.”
Viewers had a front-row seat to Nichols and Compono’s love story when they competed on MTV’s Battle of the Exes II in 2014. They had an instant connection on the MTV reality show that grew into a special romance.
Despite a brief split during The Challenge Rivals II, they mended fences during Invasion of the Champions.
In March 2021, the couple got married during an intimate wedding ceremony in Michigan.
“I always kinda knew she was the one. I just knew I wasn’t mature enough when we first met,” Nichols shared with E! News in December 2019. “I admire her ability to put everyone else’s needs above her own. She’s patient with me too, very patient. And keeps my life in order.”
