COLLECTIBLE makes its exciting return for the 8th edition in the heart of Brussels from March 13 to 16, 2025, at the historic Vanderborght Building. This fair is a premier event dedicated to contemporary collectible design. It servs as a vibrant platform to showcase and celebrate the finest collectible designs of our time.
The VIP preview on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, offers early access to an enticing selection of innovative works.
Focused on today’s creations, COLLECTIBLE strives to showcase only high-quality and well-researched objects that reflect the latest trends. The works are either unique pieces or limited editions. They are functional or have functionality in mind during the process, and all pieces need to be of recent production.
NEW GARDE: A Hallmark for the Newly Established
A hallmark of COLLECTIBLE is the New Garde, a dedicated section highlighting newly established galleries, project spaces, and collectives. This initiative offers emerging players in the design field a vital platform for gaining international visibility and recognition. Building upon its tradition of showcasing pioneering talents, New Garde promises to deliver an exciting array of innovative design entities for the 2025 edition.
While the exact participants are still unknown, past installments have proudly included a diverse range of newcomers. The 2024 edition, for example, featured remarkable contributions from galleries such as Augusta (Belgium), NeeNee Collective (South Korea/The Netherlands), and BLOW SHOP (Germany), all of which brought fresh and distinctive voices to the contemporary design landscape.
CURATED: Showcasing Emerging and Mid-career Independent Designers.
The CURATED section is a space to celebrate emerging and mid-career independent designers and design studios. It embodies a spirit of radical experimentation and creative discovery. Participants are encouraged to delve into avant-garde ideas and processes, allowing their creativity to flourish. For the 2025 edition, the curator for this section will be the esteemed Brecht Wright Gander, a New York-based artist and writer known for pushing boundaries in design thought.
