In a new interview, Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence debunked plastic surgery rumors, attributing her changed appearance to makeup techniques. She jokingly called her makeup artist a “plastic surgeon” and dismissed eye surgery speculations.
Lawrence also shared her initial desire for her security detail to be “invisible” but acknowledged their importance in family life.
Jennifer Lawrence Says Rumored Eye Surgery Is Just Good Makeup
In a recent Q&A with Kylie Jenner for Interview Magazine, Lawrence addressed speculation about plastic surgery.
The 33-year-old clarified that her changed appearance was due to makeup techniques. She shared: “I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with. Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.”
Dismissing rumors of eye surgery, the Oscar winner emphasized, “I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.” Jenner also complimented Lawrence’s appearance, noting, “Oh my god. You know, you’ve been looking amazing.”
The “Hunger Games” actress responded by highlighting shared experiences of aging and maturing.
She explained: “I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.’”
“Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up,’” Lawrence added.
She Wanted Her Security Detail To Be ‘Invisible’
During the chat, Lawrence told Jenner about her initial desire for her security team to be invisible and not relate with her children. However, she acknowledged the importance of recognizing their role in family life.
Lawrence explained: “Yeah, friendly is nice because before I hired them, in my mind I was like, I want them to be invisible. I don’t want my kid to see you or know you. And then once they start working for you, it’s like, ‘Well, wait. This is a person in our life. He’s helping us.’”
She added, “That’s not really a good lesson to ignore the person that’s helping us. It’s probably better to say, ‘Say good morning to Sean. Hi. How are you?’ We’ve incorporated them more into our lives, which surprised me. That wasn’t how I planned it.”

In a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Lawrence made a candid revelation about one of her films, “Mother!” the 2017 psychological horror flick directed by Darren Aronofsky.
Host Andy Cohen asked the “Passengers” actress to rate her understanding of the film “on a scale of one to totally confused.”
Amid laughter, Lawrence, who dated the director for a short while, cheekily admitted, “I’m going to be honest. Well, I was sleeping with the director, so I had the CliffNotes. So, five. Or four?” Cohen reacted with surprise, exclaiming, “Four?! Wow, okay, that’s not high.”
Reflecting on the experience during a conversation with Adam Sandler, Lawrence later acknowledged that the film’s unfavorable reception strained her romance with Aronofsky.
She revealed the unique challenge of dating the director and talked about the difficulty of balancing support for Aronofsky while wanting a break from discussing the film, especially during promotional tours.
Lawrence said, “I was doing double duty trying to be a supportive partner, while also being like, ‘Can I please, for the love of God, not think about Mother! for one second?”
