If there’s one thing we know, it’s that pop-ups and micro-shops are great ways to incubate ideas and test concepts.
Prior to 2019, when Libby Coyne opened her stand-alone storefront, her first Requisite shop was located inside of the luxe co-op style retailer D.Nolo. One step inside Coyne’s current light-filled industrial-chic space, and it’s evident her savvy customers come here to build (and evolve) their wardrobe versus chase the trends.
Her racks showcase exceptionally made staples that easily transition her clients from work to play, travel to cocktailing—crisp blouses; substantial knits; versatile dresses; and tailored blazers, dresses, denim, and trousers—from top-notch brands such as Anine Bing, Beatrice .B, TWP, Closed, Rhode, and Max Mara.
“The North Loop is to Minneapolis as the West Village is to New York City,” says Coyne, who draws a chic clientele from throughout the Twin Cities. “It’s also like being in a very friendly small town, where local shops support one another and care how the neighborhood grows.”
