She tells her friend there is a huge problem. She is nervous about being with him for a few reasons. First, they have only had one in-person visit together since they met. Second, she is feeling self-conscious. She has not been intimate with a man in more than four years.
Beth tells her that it is normal to feel nervous. But there is more to it. She has something important to tell him and is afraid of how he will react to the news. So, she says that she plans to take things very slow with him. She wants to take time for them to get to know each other better before she jumps into bed with him.

He needs to wear a hearing aid full-time because he can’t hear anything without it. This is troubling for her because not only is she deaf, but she has only been in relationships with hearing men. Besides the apparent adjustments the two will need to make. There are also family issues. WEtv viewers will remember Chelsea’s dad, Steve, is suspicious of her relationship with Michael. He thinks his daughter is making a mistake. It caused a huge argument between them. She also has concerns about his family. She loves that they have accepted her, especially his mom, Pamela, but feels uneasy about fully trusting them.

Chelsea Gilliam also has another considerable concern. She is unsure if Michael Harmon will be permitted to serve his parole in Ohio. He is supposed to live with his sister, Courtney, while on parole. But she hopes they can change that. If not, it will be difficult for them to build a relationship.
